Take a series of photographs of the same person in different kinds of light. Do this over a few days or so – certainly on more than one occasion. Aim to make at least nine photographs and mount them in a grid.
You may zoom in to see the effects clearly as all are high resolution images.
I thoroughly enjoyed this exercise and I feel working with various lights, along with their limitations was definitely a worthwhile thing, which has taken up my interest in portraitures to another level. It wasn’t easy by any means but that was the most exciting part of it and seeing the outcomes of every different light was really rewarding.
I have kept the images as they were shot because processing them would result in some difference in the lighting. I did not want to change anything in post processing hence I have tried to achieve what I wanted to within the camera settings itself.
